Criminal Profiling
for Patrol Officers
This Criminal Profiling
Course (CPC) has been developed to train law enforcement officers involved in
highway patrol, street patrol/enforcement, street crimes interdiction, gang
investigation, and other interdiction assignments, on the indicators of
criminals and criminality. These indicators have nothing to do with racial or
ethnic profiles and train the LEO to search out criminals not persons. Although
this is a virtually new training course, it is expected to assist law
enforcement agencies to concentrate their efforts on criminality not individuals.
This course also helps avoid litigation from racial/ethnic profiling and alert
even the savvy LEO of Criminal Profile Indicators (CPI). This is exceptionally
useful in training new officers and trainees on Criminal Indicators.

in this training class include:
Profiles of Crimes: Identifying them in
the Street
Drug selling and Trafficking profiles
Auto Theft Profile
Identity Theft Profile
Armed Suspect Profile

The President of Homefront Protective Group is Lou Savelli.
Lou is a recently retired NYPD sergeant who created Homefront
Protective Group, the most innovative and reality-based training company in
the world. While Lou Savelli's entire
career was spent in the
streets fighting crime and violent criminals, he has been conducting training
courses for law enforcement officers from a variety of local, state and
federal agencies within the United States, Canada, and overseas for more than
20 years. Lou Savelli
retired in 2004 as one of the most decorated officers in NYPD history.
Before his retirement, he was the creator and Detective Squad Commander of
the NYPD Terrorism Interdiction Unit (TIU), which was formed on September
11th, 2001 to aggressively combat terrorism in New York City and throughout
the United States. Its mission is to investigate the attacks of the
World Trade Center and proactively seek out al Qaeda cells operating in the
United States. Prior to the TIU,
Lou Savelli was the Detective Squad Commander
of the NYPD Detective Bureau’s Gang Division Major Case Squad which was
created from the NYPD’s first citywide gang unit called CAGE. The Citywide
Anti Gang Enforcement (CAGE) Unit was created by him in 1996 and because
of its success, was awarded the National Gang
Crime Research Center’s “Most Effective Gang Unit in the United States.”
